Week 48 was a calm one for Dogecoin and quite similar to week 46.

However, the Dogecoin Twitter/X account  posted a picture of a letter of appreciation received on the 24th of november from the Mayor of Sakura City, Japan. For those unaware of the backdrop of this letter, it stems from the fact that the Doge community launched a crowdfunding campaign a year back. This crowdfunding campaign aimed to create a statue of the Dogecoin dog itself, Kabosu.

You can buy Dogecoin directly through NBX.

As you know, certain numbers are of the utmost importance in the world of Dogecoin. Hence, the campaign was launched in 2022 on Kabosu`s 17th birthday, November 2nd and ran until December 6th, Dogecoin`s 9th birthday. More importantly, the goal was to raise 42.069 dollars and this was done within the first week. Kabosu sadly passed away earlier this year.

Still, Dogecoin enthusiasts from all over the world can now travel to Japan and most likely meet fellow supporters at the park Sakura Furasato Hiroba where the statue of Kabosu is located.

In terms of price action, Doge traded in the range of 7,7 -8,7 cents throughout last week with volume ranging from 320 - 760 million (approximate numbers).
