Common questions

Where does the data on this page come from?

Prices, market data and company holdings come from CoinGecko, which combines data from many exchanges and public filings. The figures are indicative and can differ from the prices you see in the NBX app.

What is market cap?

Market cap is the current ETH price multiplied by the circulating supply. It shows the total market value of all ETH in circulation, not how much money has been invested in it.

Why is the all-time high different in each currency?

Exchange rates move as well as the ETH price. The highest ETH price in NOK may have come on a different day than the highest price in USD, so each currency has its own all-time high and date.

Why do listed companies hold ETH?

Some listed companies keep ETH as a treasury reserve, and some also stake it. They report their holdings in public filings, which is where the figures on this page come from.

How often is the data updated?

The page fetches fresh data each time it loads, and the chart reloads when you change the time range or currency. Company holdings change only when a company publishes a new filing.
