Update on DRep workshops
As some of the readers might know Ada North Pool the staking pool owned by Norwegian Block Exchange is quite active in the Cardano ecosystem. We have joined Intersect as a member and are represented by a NBX employee together with others who in his spare time has run a series of workshops funded through Catalyst and by the Cardano Foundation on a code of conduct document for delegated representatives (DRep). You can follow the history of this series of workshops here, in total, there will have been held 10 workshops when all currently planned workshops have been held. The next one up is sponsored by an Intersect grant and is going to be held in June 2024, you can reach out to the Nordic Cardano Community Discord to follow news on the exact date for it. The community has already embraced the code of conduct and translated it so far into 5 languages and held multiple workshops outside of the sponsored series of workshops such as for example in Korea. If you want to get involved with DRep testing head over to sancho.network where the governance testnet is in full swing currently.
Update on the Cardano Constitution
Cardano is entering a governance era with the Chang hard fork with its CIP 1694 governance entities as we discussed in a previous blog entry. One major part of the Cardano Improvement Proposal is the Constitution and the Constitutional Committee which will vote down any governance action that is not constitutional. The interim constitution will be published in Q2 2024 while the full constitution draft will be available in Q3-Q4 with a planned series of workshops where you for example can apply for a grant from Intersect to hold one. Note that a constitutional delegate will be selected from each workshop to attend the Constitutional Convention in Buenos Aires in December 2024.
Reminder of NBX Cardano involvements
NBX recently announced we are planning to be a co-issuer of USDM with Mehen. USDM is a fiat backed stablecoin in the Cardano ecosystem. We also offer staking services on our platform where you can stake Cardano with us as your custodian or you can also stake directly to our staking pool ANP. If you want to follow the Cardano price movements we have created a dedicated page for this you can find here or if you want to compare Cardano with other blockchains marketcaps we have an overview page here.
