Minimum staking is 0.1 TAO. Each subnet has a reserve of TAO and a reserve of its currency, referred to in general as its alpha.
When you delegate stake an automated market maker exchanges TAO for alpha. This alpha is sent to the validators wallet (hotkey). Opposite when you unstake you again swap alpha for TAO. These swaps can incure slippage.
