NBX and Connected.ART partnered to bridge arts and cryptocurrency

Last updated

NBX and Connected.ART are excited to announce a fruitful partnership aiming to bridge the two worlds together: arts and cryptocurrency.

Connected.ART is a Norwegian creative tech company established by a group of tech and art enthusiasts with the goal of building an ecosystem combining new technologies for artists and art lovers. Under the partnership, the companies plan to work together on projects that keep up with the times and will be of interest to a broad audience.

“Today, the explosion of virtual art is already apparent. Just as money takes on a virtual form, art finds new ways to attract attention, filled with meaning and unusually close, personal contact in the virtual world. The great interest in NFTs is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with cryptocurrencies. Art becomes even more accessible, not only for the eyes but new ownership possibilities.” - says Stig Aleksander Kjos-Mathisen, CEO at NBX.

As part of the partnership, Connected.ART created a virtual gallery dedicated to the cryptocurrency universe for NBX. It is planned to replenish the gallery with new exhibits. Already this summer, collaborating teams will introduce a new piece of art that will exist both in physical and virtual form. Besides just the visual part, creative minds thought about the interaction. More details to come with official announcements.

“Technology drives everything in our modern world, but what is now happening with arts and our way of approaching art is a dogma shift. In a few years, we will introduce ourselves to each other and visit each other in virtual 3D rooms on Facebook and other social media, and everyone will demand digital art. Through digital art and other digital assets, we want to show who we are in our digital homes - which will be shared with far more people than our physical homes.” – says Jonas Haavik, CEO at Connected.ART.

“We invite everyone to visit our virtual gallery and tap into this truly amazing world, extending our perception and ways of experiencing art.” - adds Stig.

The NBX gallery will be launched in connection with the CA Art Exhibition 2022 opening 5th of May at Sjøholmen. After the exhibition 1st of June, the NBX gallery will become a permanent part of the Virtual Art Park Sjøholmen, Scandinavia’s first virtual art park covering 45.0000 sqm. Simultaneously it will be available through the NBX Space in the Connected.ART app.
